8 March 158am

Another week, time to write my blog. I have been a bit remiss lately in posting here, promise to do better at this and practice what I preach.

Another very exciting day here in Bangkok (well Nonthaburi to be exact), opened up the week with two early meetings with a top publicly listed company here in Thailand with my client gathering information to enable us to create a variety of proposals. I love new business development, working with people to come out with solutions to new problems or creating new groups to solve existing problems. Then back to my office to work on some marketing for other clients and get a quick start on my presentation for March 18th at the 4th Save our Planet Conference.

How to put a presentation together? I just taught a seminar on it, so I spent a lot of time searching for usable images for my presentation to enable me to tell the right story. The latest and greatest thinking on how to best create impactful presentations is to find the right images to tell your story, then go about adding the few words per slide to go with those vivid images. The mind remembers pictures, not words and bullets, that is definitely the way to go. This all coming from a guy (me) who when Windows first came out would always switch to the DOS prompt to use the familiar commands.

Then onward to work on a major proposal for another client, the variety is fantastic, but a common thread runs through all that I am doing, working with people to help solve business problems, generating leads/sales either for myself or my clients. The better you get at this the more rewarding it is. Come to one of my selling or marketing seminars, I have pulled together material from top speakers like Mark McClure, Bob Urichuck and others to help you to sell more, generate more leads and make best use of your time. Speaking of time it is after 2am, time for bed!
